What is Registered Massage Therapy (RMT)?
A Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) are health care professionals dedicated to providing manual therapy and assessment for the treatment and maintenance of soft tissue concerns. RMT’s have completed rigorous post-secondary education in health sciences and are a regulated health profession under BC’s Health Professions Act.

What is Herbal Medicine?
Chinese medicine is based on the observation that natural phenomena are mirrored in the human body. There are predictable, observable rules that guide nature and therefore guide the patterns of health and disease. Our practitioners identify the pattern of disharmony and determine a treatment plan to guide you back to balance.

Myofascial Release
Dry needling and Motor Point stimulation is a technique that inserts dry needles into the muscles to stimulate repair and renewal. Symptoms are relieved by a muscle twitch response in the muscle that is causing you soreness or pain. Pain can be greatly decreased by this method of therapy. This therapy would be very effective for persons that have been in an accident, have tennis elbow, or back pain. If you have disk problems or jaw or mouth problems this type of therapy can be of assistance. An appointment at our office to have this procedure done. No anesthetic or medication is required. This type of therapy is an excellent option for persons who have tried medical or surgery therapy but did not receive the expected results.

What is Manual Therapy?
Manual therapy includes massage, acupressure, cupping, guasha, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy (IASTM), myofascial release, etc. which function to unblock the channels, promote detoxification and alleviate pain.

What is Chi Nei Tsang?
Chi Nei Tsang is an abdominal massage which uses soft, gentle and deep touch to help the internal organs work more efficiently and restore balance. The practitioner works in harmony with the breath in order to adjust fascia, open up the spaces and release stagnant, undigested emotions or trauma trapped inside the tissues. Chi Nei Tsang works directly with the internal organs to strengthen, relax, energize and cleanse. Unlike regular massage, the practitioner and patient actively work together throughout the session to guide the breath, open up the spaces and restore healthy circulation. One course of treatment of Chi Nei Tsang consists of five 90 minute sessions, an educational component and home care exercises.

Provided in the form of Qi Gong, Chen Tai Chi, Yang Tai Chi.
This method of therapy uses exercises and body movements to improve or restore the physical functions of certain parts of the body. The goal of therapeutic exercise is to allow the patient to be able to move freely without any pain symptoms during regular physical activity. Injuries respond very well to this type of treatment. Increased flexibility can also be attained for persons who are having mobility issues, such as seniors.
